What a fantastic week it has been. The last full week of the year has been very full!
Creative week has been a huge success, with parents and grandparents coming into school to share their creativity, tennis taster sessions for the Key Stage 1 children and cardboard kingdoms being built in Reception. Each class has also had specific creative activities and even Maths lessons had a touch of creativity to them. My thanks to Mrs Mitchell for organising the week's activities and to the rest of the teaching team for designing the activities.
Today was the last day of our sunflower growing competition. Each week over the last term, there has been such a lot of excitement as we have been observing and measuring the sunflowers in Celebration worship. There was a tie this year, Dragonfly class and Ant class had the tallest sunflowers, both measuring114cm tall. Unfortunately, the plants haven't flowered, but you can see from the photo below that we had 2 plants that had flowered. These plants had seeded themselves and had been kept outside.
We have also celebrated how much the children have achieved this year. The end of year school reports were sent out on yesterday and I hope that you agree, there has been so much progress made in all areas of the curriculum.
